A guy who is new on our dock just purchased a 1995 Silverton aft cabin and right there in the cockpit, starboard side, is a big stainless steel pole. No joke! When asked what the pole was for, he answered, rather matter of factly and with a straight face I might add, that it was supposed to support the davit for the dinghy that rests on the hardtop above. Yeah! Right, I bet. A friend of mine slyly suggested that she knew what it was for...and she wanted to know if he or the previous owner had it installed for pole dancing!
