After 10 years on the South River I decided to try the faster pace of the Inner Harbour in Baltimore.  Anyone docked at one of the many marinas there?

Ahoy there mate! I was just crusin’ through the Forum and ran across your post on “Moving to the Inner Harbour in Baltimore”. As you may have seen from some of my earlier entries, I’m in the Detroit area and know very little about your boating area. I did visit that Inner Harbour once on a road trip and I really enjoyed that marina experience. I know you’re probably aware of what’s there so I can’t tell you anything new. I did like all the different eating establishments located there and while there, I tried out a few. GREAT! Based on what you say, there seems to be other marinas there that I didn’t see while on my visit.

I came away from that visit with only one lasting thought of the water in the marina and that was “it looked almost like ink”. I couldn’t believe how dark the water color was and I still wonder if it’s like that all the time??!!!  Do you know why it’s like that? I know it’s a brackish water but I don’t know if that’s why it’s so dark in color.

I think I may have already asked this question on the forum but when you start to get “old”, memory is suppose to be among the first things to go! Regardless of where you decide to move, I hope you enjoy your new marina home. . . .

Thanks for the reply.  I moved the boat up to Baltimore a few weeks ago.  I love the new marina but I don’t think I will stay past this season due to the dirty water.  Too much crap in the water and it bothers me to no end.  I knew I was in trouble when I saw a sanitation boat picking up trash from the water.  However. I am looking forward to exploring the upper Bay an area I have not cruised before now.  Here’s to a good year in Baltimore.
