BULK FUEL FOR CRUISING

Hey Salt and Big fifty,

Have you guys thought about bulk fuel purchases. With all the boaters there in Michigan at least, you might be able to pre-purchase a bunch of fuel at a discount rate through your marina. This might make cruising hurt a little less. How about texas. Can’t you guys buy an oil well or something? If you do, send a truck up here, I probably use 1200 gallons or more a season.

Lemme kno

Memorial Weekend at Solomons

Here’s a party.
Deboaters yacht club is having its annual Memorial Weekend bash on Saturday May 24 at Solomons Yachting center on the Patuxent River. Folks from many of the Chesapeake’s African American yacht clubs usually join in, and it’s a great party that includes the members of Solomons Yachting center. there are usually about 200 people between the clubs and the yachting center. Solomons is a great place, quiet and relaxing, definitely a cruise worth taking sometime during the season.

Inauguration Report

I’m posting this from another post I made elsewhere on the site.

I went to the inauguration for all of us. Said hi to Obama for everybody. That place was jammin yesterday. Millions of folks. Everybody happy, singing, dancing, crying and just plain ole having a great time. It was hard to walk around and it was cold by DC standards.

The crowds were so thick it took half an hour to walk two blocks. When Obama took the oath people started cheering as loud as they could. It’s a wonder I can still hear. I left my house at 6:00 am and it took until 10:30 to get to DC. Normally that trip only takes about 45 minutes by train and little more than a half hour by car. The lines started down the escalator from the train station and you just waited and waited.

But it was all worth it! Any questions? Just ask.
