After saying that I would not post another message in these forums until the spammers were cleaned out I was also cleaned out.. All of my previous messages were removed and so was I. I had to re-register in order to post this message.. I’m not sure if it was a mistake or not when they deleted my account but at least I did get the forum spammers out of here.. Oh well I’m back and starting from message one. LOL

WhaZup my fellow boaters!!!
Sorry for dropping out for so long. I had a few computer problems but that’s no excuse. I just read the Thread started by Ted (Salt n Pepper) from earlier in the year and he’s absolutely right. The two of us have talked about this many times while sipping a brew or two and we just can’t figure out why it’s so hard to get (and keep) a forum going. Part of the reason I dropped out for so long is because I too am guilty of succumbing to the lack of interest from those who choose only look and not respond. For me, I always look forward to reading the responses.

Ted and his wife have been great next door neighbors to me and my crew and there are few boaters I can say that about. We did a little fishin’ in the marina this past weekend and after only 5 minutes, Ted hooked into this beauty of a Largemouth Bass! Our marina friend (Chuck) just happened by and jumped into Ted’s picture right after he pulled it from the water. I took the picture (since I wasn’t catching any fish)! Ted did release it back into the water right after taking this picture.

Anyway, we’ve been having a rather slow summer on the water and I’ve logged only TWO hours so far this season. We’ve been “Rockin’ at the Dock” all summer with only two very short trips out of the marina.

This coming weekend, we’re having out annual dock party so it looks like another weekend at the dock for most of us. That’s okay . . . Unbelievably, I’ve still got some of the gas from the 2007 season in my tanks! If I don’t run that stuff out soon, I’ll have to drop a couple cans of fuel enhancers in there to give it a boost (you think)? l.o.l.

It’s good to be back online and hope to hear from you guys soon. . . .

Hey everyone. I would like to keep up with what everybody is doing everyday. Not just during boating season. You all know boaters love to have fun all year long. I know there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about the next fun thing to do, even if I’m not on my boat. I love to play golf. I have an aquarium in my basement, I have a 73” HDTV that I watch all kinds of sports on. It’s powered by 900 watts of Yamaha amps and two sub woofers so the base is in ya face, and I love to go to the movies too… Last week I went to the opening of XMen origins...Wolverine. If you haven’t seen it, add it to your list of fun things to do. This weekend I’m gonna see Star trek. I’m a trekkie from way back. Tomorrow some of my friends are going Rock (bass fishing). A good friend owns a 52 foot Viking with twin 1100 HP turbos. Gets to tha fish and back in a hurry. I was supposed to go but a client meeting got in the way. Guess where my mind is gonna be? Right now I’m writing, hoping that you guys will pick up the pace and start telling me what’s going on with you. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW???

I was checking the inauguration web sites and this will be a huge event.

All roads leading into DC from VA will be closed. No bridges will handle auto traffic and even some of the tunnels, which normally handle auto traffic will only be open to pedestrians.

The Metro trains are expe3cting crowds at “crush capacity”. In other words...Don’t bring the babies”

Everyone who has tickets needs to be in line for security by 9:00 am or they may not get in. The ceremony starts at 12:00 so folks who have seats will be waiting for three hours in the January weather.

But guess what? I’M GONNA BE THERE COME HOOK OR CROOK!!! Who’s with me?

Here’s wishing you all the best of the holiday season. With the economy the way it is I’m hearing folks focusing more on family than gifts. That’s a good thing. I know I have come to appreciate my family and my family has grown by all the wonderful boaters out there. Posting to this site has been a lot of fun and I think we should all do what we can to keep it going.

Let’s start with heart felt holiday wishes for everyone! Everyone should send a private message to someone else in the forum wishing them a happy holiday and inviting them to come back on and post.
