    Dockside Management Named IGY Preferred Provider

    Haitian Relief Concert at Yacht Haven Grande

    St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Yacht Haven Grande, St. Thomas, hosted a special concert Saturday, January 23, to benefit victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti.

    The fundraiser at the luxury marina near Charlotte Amalie Harbor featured Liquid Sunshine with Tim West, Down the Line, Barefoot Davis, the Becca Darling Band and the Ahwee Band, with guest MC Web from 104.3 the Buzz.

    Another highlight of the event was a raffle, sponsored jointly by Yacht Haven Grande and the U.S. Virgin Islands Hotel & Tourism Association, with prizes including local hotel stays, boat trips and gift certificates. Each band donated its performance for the fundraiser, which was complimentary, and all proceeds and donations from the event were to be turned over to the relief efforts of the American Red Cross.

    Haitian Relief Concert at Yacht Haven Grande

    St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – A special concert at the Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas raised more than $37,000 for relief efforts in Haiti.

    More than 2,000 people attended the event and donations came not only from concert attendees, but from several local businesses. The money was designated for the Haitian relief efforts of the American Red Cross, said Kenny Jones, executive vice president of Marina Operations for Island Global Yachting, parent company of Yacht Haven Grande.

    “It was a truly wonderful and inspiring event for a cause close to all our hearts,” Jones said. “The entire island of St. Thomas came together to join with us at Yacht Haven Grande to support our Caribbean brothers in need and we are so proud to make this donation to the American Red Cross to aid the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.”
